Playa Larga Beach

Playa Larga is a beautiful beach located on the southern coast of Cuba, in the province of Matanzas. With its crystal clear waters and soft white sand, it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun and sea.

In addition to being an idyllic beach, Playa Larga is also an important historical site. The Bay of Pigs, where the failed US invasion took place in 1961, is located a few kilometers south of the beach. In the area, you can visit museums and monuments that commemorate the Cuban resistance against foreign aggression.

As for the tourist offer, in Playa Larga there are hotels and private houses that offer accommodation to visitors. There are also restaurants and bars where you can taste typical dishes of Cuban cuisine, such as congrí rice, roast pork and Cuban coffee.

For those who like nature, Playa Larga has various trails for walking and ecological tourism. You can observe endemic birds of the region and visit the Zapata Swamp, a natural reserve that is home to a wide variety of animal and plant species.

In short, Playa Larga is a paradisiacal place that combines natural beauty, history and culture. If you are planning a trip to Cuba, don’t miss the opportunity to visit this beach and enjoy all the wonders it offers.
